What is a Residential Care Home?
Residential care homes provide “home away from home” accommodations and personal care for those who would benefit from extra support in their daily lives.
It’s a difficult decision to determine if you, or a loved one, should transition from at-home care to a residential facility. There are times when individuals need increased care that may make it challenging for them to remain in their own home. Our team is dedicated to making this transition as easy as possible, offering a comfortable, safe, and caring environment where residents can receive the full support they need.
At Bonita Springs Healthcare Services, our licensed residential care facility offers personalized service in a private home located in San Benito County.

How Does It Benefit Me?
Moving from a private home to full-service residential care offers many benefits to the resident and their loved ones:
Safety
The open floor plan of our care home has been thoughtfully designed to create comfortable, safe and accessible spaces throughout to accommodate our residents. Additionally, around-the-clock caregiving and emergency assistance offers peace of mind compared to independent living environments.
Social Connections & Companionship
Residents always have the freedom to pursue their interests on their own terms, but also have the opportunity to socialize with other residents, participate in planned activities, and make new friends.
Home-Like Environment Without the Chores and Maintenance
The day-to-day tasks of maintaining a home can be a lot of work, especially if someone is facing mobility challenges. Our care home offers all of the comforts of a traditional home with the added benefit of dedicated staff to take care of the grocery shopping, cleaning, meal prep, laundry, etc. Residents can relax and spend their day enjoying things that bring them happiness!
Comfortable Accommodations
Residents have the option to move into a private or semi-private room. All rooms include essential furnishings such as a fully adjustable bed, bedside table, dresser/wardrobe, and television. We welcome residents to add their own personal touch to their room to create a cozy retreat that feels like home.
Personal Attention
Since a residential home is smaller than an assisted living or nursing home, caregiving staff are able to spend more time getting to know their residents’ personalities and individual needs. Each resident receives customized services and more one-on-one attention.
Flexible Visiting Hours:
Visitors are welcomed and encouraged, including family, friends, and pets!
Eligibility
When is it Time for Residential Care?
Generally, residential care is a good fit for seniors who need assistance with their day-to-day activities but don’t require daily nursing or physician care. The services and amenities provided in the Bonita Springs residential care home help residents stay safe while giving them the autonomy to retain as much independence as they see fit.
Cost of Care & How do I Pay for It
Monthly room rates vary and are based upon selected room accommodations.
Depending on an individual’s level of needed care, there may be additional monthly care costs to consider. Bonita Springs conducts a thorough pre-assessment to determine one’s level of needed care and clarify additional care costs (if any) to provide a detailed total monthly rate.
Unfortunately, residential care is not covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or traditional health insurance. However, some long-term care insurance policies have a provision to help pay for residential care. Since policies and coverage can vary, we encourage you to contact your long-term care insurance provider for detailed information.
For eligible military Veterans and their survivors, the Veterans benefit program offers pension benefits such as “Aid and Attendance” and “Housebound” that provide monthly payments that can be used to pay for residential care.
